About the artwork

Sheikh revisits Pakistan through the lens of childhood wonder. Drawn to the chaos and beauty of electricity lines and bold architectural blocks, this piece captures a street where Sheikh spent a week with family - where memories, connection, and a deep sense of belonging came to life. Amid rapid change, the vibrant colours and towering wooden poles became symbols of community. Each evening, a bright star lit up the sky above, sealing the feeling of home.
